Past Parent

Tribute

We couldn’t have such a wonderful program without the parents that came before. This page is a tribute to those special Aussies / MAS who helped make JKKJ Farms what it is today.

Scarlett absolutely loved being a momma. Her nickname was “Mother Hen” as she wanted nothing more than to raise up everyone’s pups. Her temperament was next level and it crossed over to every single one of her puppies.

Goodheart’s Sweet Miss Jolene @ JKKJ Farms

Move to Breeding Program in Lubbock, Tx

If Goofy had a girl friend Jolene would be that girl. She was downright silly. Watching her leap in the air like a gazelle to bark at someone at our gate in a manly tone as she ran to find us was absolutely the highlight of my day. She was gentle, caring, loved being a momma, obsessed with water and with her human boyfriend Jesse. Her nick name was “Jesse’s Girl”. Jolene produced 1 litter for our farm before moving to Lubbock, Tx where she retired after having 1 more litter and now lives life as a service dog in training.

JKKJ Farms Sir Winston

Dam: Blue Star’s Piper Jo

Sire: Cowboy Dax

Winston was my everything!! It pains me to even recall the events surrounding his death. What I would give just to play endless fetch with him again… his death was a freak accident in which my dtr came in from work after dark and she had a few friends over. Our farm gate had a tendency to hang up on the rocks and would swing back open and everyone knew this being I consistently reminded everyone.

Something woke me around midnight and I got up to check on everyone and asked her if the gate shut and she said yes. I still blame my self to this day for not checking even though I seen him laying there with his legs in the air which was how he always slept. Around 0300 I was woke up by my dtr and her friend who had just arrived stating Winston was dead on the side of the road. The hardest part about it all is I lost Lady Clementine a month before Winston. I want to think he went looking for her because he never stepped foot outside of our gate before when it did not close. They were inseparable hence the names Lady Clementine and Sir Winston….look up Winston Churchill.

Our handsome Winston sired 1 litter and I beat myself up everyday for not retaining a pup out of him. He was by far the smartest dog I have ever owned!!
